Suraj Venjaramoodu Malayalam Actor

Suraj Vasudevan Nair is a Malayalam actor and impressionist. He has worked in over hundred films. He mainly plays non-serious roles. He has also played some serious, character-centric roles. He has bagged the Kerela State Film Award three times. Early life Venjaramood Vasudevan Suraj had the aim to serve in the Indian army just like his father and elder brother, but he could not pursue this dream of his as he broke his arm by falling off the bicycle. Suraj became an Impressionist just after he graduated from college. Personal life Suraj Vasudevan is the youngest child of a retired Indian army officer, Venjaramood Vasudevan Nair and Vilasini, who is a home-maker. His elder brother is also an army cadet, and his sister is married and settled in Thiruvananthapuram. Nair did his schooling from K.V.M.L.P.S.

He completed his higher education from Attingal Government ITI. Suraj got married in 2005 to Supriya. They have three kids together. One of their children Kashinathan has acted in movies like Annan Thambi, and Teja Bhai and family. Career Suraj initiated his career by opting stand-up comedy, and his shows were popular amongst the people. His debut movie was Jagapoga, which was a big hit. Suraj is widely famous for his mimicry. He is sometimes criticized for the same. Nair has appeared in the lead role in movies like Duplicate and Thaskara Lahala. Some of his other works are Perariyathavar, Gulumal: The escape, Arabikatha, amongst others. For the very popular feature that he was a part of, Perariyathavar, he received National Film Award for Best Actor. Awards Suraj won the award for best comedy artist in the years 2009, 2010, 2013.
