Plot: Komban is a movie that tells about a good relationship between a father in law and son in law. This is not told in the Tamil cinema, before.
This film Komban is directed by Muthaiah, whose debut movie is Kutti Puli with director cum actor Sasi Kumar. He has taken similar kind of story, which states that marriage changes a rogue to a good man.
In Kutti Puli he took the mother sentiment and in Komban, he has handled the relationship between father in law and son in law.
Karthi takes the title name Komban alias Kombaiya Pandian. He is bold enough to face any issues before his marriage; and after his marriage, his temper is balanced by his father in law. Karthi’s character resembles that of his role in Parutthi Veeran. In both of his films, the director has kept the similar reason for the villains take revenge on the hero. In both the stories, the affected person is the heroine and it is Lakshmi Menon, who did the character in both the films.
Raj Kiran is at his best after his weighty role in Manja Pai. As usual, his performance is classic and he wins the hearts of the audiences. After Karthi comes to know the murder plan by the villain group, his serious effort to rescue his father in law is wonderfully shot by the director. Violence due to caste is rightly portrayed by the director; but it should have been minimized.
Komban is a nice village movie, which gives importance to the relations and not to a particular community or money.
