Plot
Kumar is a mortuary driver. His wife is pregnant, and has been expecting the delivery in a couple of days. He admits her at the hospital, and takes on the duty to transport a dead body to Tirunelveli, as he needs money immediately for his wife’s delivery. Nalina Moorthy is a Koothu artist who plays Karnan, and earns appreciation from the audience. He joins Kumar in his journey from Chennai to Tirunelveli. Nalin creates a huge disturbance during the travel yet shares a good experience with Kumar. The person whose body Kumar is transporting now has two wives and two sons. Both are fighting to do the final rites separately. To whom did Kumar deliver the dead body? The rest of the story tells about this.
Star Performance
Vimal plays the role of Kumar, excellently. His choice of roles were good in the beginning of his career, and now he is back to the form. Karunas is neat in the given role. We get irritated along with Vimal’s Kumar, when Karunas’ Nalin, disturbs him. Aadukalam Naren and Pavan did their roles with perfection. Vela Ramamoorthy is okay in his role. Deepa Shankar is good, but overacts in a few moments.
Analysis
The story has no twists and turns but showcases a lot of life lessons during the journey. Right from money to relationships, every basic thing is discussed. Kudos to the director for picking the script and choosing the right actors. The simple comedy scenes between Vimal and Karunas are well-made. A few emotional scenes look overstretched. The background music is a bit louder. Editing should have been better.
