K E Gnanavel Raja popularly known as Gnanavel is a multi talented personality in Tamil film industry. Gnanavel Raja is the son of Kousalya and V K Eswaran. He was born and brought up in Chennai. He got his introduction into the world of movies through his exposure during the college days. He is the uncle of the famous  and acclaimed Tamil actors Suriya and Karthi.

His entry into the Tamil cinema world was by founding an Indian film company called Studio Green. It was formed in partnership with S R Prakash Babu Bio coming soon... >> Read More... and S R Babu. The company was founded in 2006. He produced and directed the block buster Tamil Movie “ Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal” in 2006. Following the success of the movie, he produced “ Paruthiveeran Click to look into! >> Read More... ”.He introduced Suriya’s brother Karthi as the hero of the Movie. The storyline was set in the rural village called Parithiyur. The film unveiled the story of a criminal minded youth. The film got much appreciation for the number of freshers appeared on the screen. 

Following the success, he produced a movie “Singam” portraying Suriya as a police officer. It was colossal success unprecedented in Tamil industry. Owing to the unforeseen success, Studio Green has so far taken 2 sequels for the movie. “Naan Mahan Alla” and “Thirutha” are some of his other notable performance. “Naan Mahan Alla” is a thrilling family entertainer and “Thirutha” was  a passionate love story.

Apart from film industry, Gnanavel Raja is a notable personality in the social circle of Chennai. He is the active patron and forerunner of many social forums in and around Chennai. He is married to Neha who give active support for all his endeavors.
