Plot
Babbar Sher is a politician. Satya IPS locks horns with the politician. Due to a cruel incident, Satya punishes Babbar’s son. This induces Babbar to destroy Satya’s entire family. Left alone with his toddler daughter, Satya fakes his death and shifts to Kerala and leads a peaceful life. What happens when Babbar finds out that Satya and his daughter are alive? The rest of the film showcases this.
Star Performance
Varun Dhawan did justice to the given roles. He excelled as Satya as well as John. Keerthy makes a decent debut in Bollywood. Wamiqa did justice to the given role. Rajpal Yadav is okay in his role.
Analysis
The film starts on a slow note, and for nearly 30 minutes, we don’t witness any impressive scenes. This is where the screenplay slips. Varun Dhawan’s combination scenes with the kid didn’t bring much effect. The film gets its pace only in the elevation scene close to the interval block. The comedy oneliners by Rajpal Yadav has worked out a bit. Why is Salman Khan always used in a cameo role like this? We are quizzed about why he signs cameo roles in every big film like this? Though his on-screen presence cheers up the fans for a few seconds, it didn’t help the story. Keerthy Suresh was introduced as a doctor. Soon after marriage, she becomes an ideal housewife. Does that portion look good? The visuals are okay. The songs are not much interesting. The film is close to 3 hours and Ruben should have chopped the first few minutes, the song portions and a few portions in the second half well.

Though the film may not match the original, you can watch it for Varun Dhawan’s acting and action performances. But don’t keep high hopes!
