Plot
Arulmozhi Varman had to leave his hometown, Thanjavur, in a forced situation. He returns to the town after 2 decades to attend his cousin Bhuvana’s wedding. Though Arul and his family are estranged from their relatives, he has a special affection for Chokku Mama and Bhuvana. Arul visited his hometown with the idea of attending the reception and returning by night. But, his meeting with a naïve youngster turned his plan upside down. He calls Arul Aththaan and shows a huge affection right from his first glance of seeing him. Though Arul couldn’t recognize him, he speoke with him as if he knew him. Was he able to recognize him? Did he find the youngster’s name? Who is he actually? The rest of the film follows this.
Star Performance
Karthi had already showcased his acting skills in various rural scripts. This is one of his good performances. His chemistry with Arvind is cool. His combination scenes with Sri Divya are few, yet they are okay. Arvind Swamy initially shows a tight face then settles down, as per the character’s requirement. His body language and dialogue delivery are neat.

. Right from the beginning till the climax, Premkumar has showered affection and love and makes the audience drenched in them. Though it is a small scene, Arvind and Indhumathy’s conversation makes one feel nostalgic if they were given a chance to marry their loved ones. Though the scene seems to be simple for someone, it shows a huge value of love and life. There are no comedy tracks like in 96, and the director has laced humor in the dialogues. Karthi is good at this kind of humor, and it has worked really well. However, a few scenes make us predict where they are taking us. Govind Vasantha’s music is soothing and the cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju is laudable. The production values are good. The film is technically sound.
