Plot
Satya and Ankur are sister and brother. Satya is very protective of Ankur, as he is the only one left for her. She stays with their wealthy distant relative’s place and works for them. Kabir belongs to that family, and he is close to Ankur. Satya permits Ankur to Hanshi Dao for higher studies along with Kabir. Kabir is a spoiled brat. During their stay in Hanshi Dao, Kabir’s illegal activity made Ankur get a jail sentence. Satya, who was shattered on hearing this, decided to get her brother back from prison, unofficially. She meets Bhatia, an ex-gangster whose son is also stuck in the prison. Satya seeks help from Muthu, an ex-cop to get her brother out. Was she successful in getting him out? The rest of the film speaks about the affectionate sister fighting for her brother.
Star Performance
Alia Bhatt did justice to the given role. Her scenes with her brother and her efforts to bring him out of prison are emotional. Vedang is decent in his role. Rahul Ravindran and Manoj Pahwa have done their job well.
Analysis
When we hear the base story, we can guess the entire situation. The film’s main minus point is its predictability. With a good performer like Alia, the makers could’ve opted for a strong screenplay and script. Though the emotional scenes are done well, they don’t feel complete. Some more scenes between the sister and brother could’ve elevated the film. There are unnecessary lengthy scenes making the running time too stretched. The dialogues could have been developed better. The cinematography is good, but the editing is weak. The music is just okay.

Though the film has a few minus points, Alia Bhatt shoulders the film with her presence and performance. If you are an Alia fan, you can watch this!
