Debashish Irengbam is an Indian Hindi writer, novelist, storyteller, and scriptwriter. He hails from Imphal, Manipur, India. He went to Delhi University to pursue Bachelor’s degree in English Hons. He graduated with a bronze medal of merit for securing the third position at the University of Delhi. He later completed a post-graduate certificate course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing from ‘Film and Television Institute of India (FTII),’ Pune, Maharashtra. He is a vegetarian, and his zodiac sign is Libra. He has been living in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Debashish Irengbam began his writing passion at 14 years of age. His career started with a one-year course in scriptwriting from the Film and Television Institute of India. He then went to Mumbai to start his first job as an assistant writer in 2010. He is a Mumbai- based scriptwriter and novelist by profession. He worked as the principal writer and creative consultant for Arjun television show ‘Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek,’ a crime procedural drama that aired on the Star Plus channel for 76 episodes. He has written the screenplay, story, and dialogues for various episodes of television series. He also wrote his first novel, ‘Me, Mia, Multiple,’ published by HarperCollins Publishers India on July 1, 2015. This book is based on the love story between two somewhat dysfunctional individuals. His next novel is ‘Charlie Next Door,’ published in December 2017 by HarperCollins Publishers India. He is the co-founder & Governing body member at Non-Government Organization (NGO) – ‘Milaan Be the Change.’ The NGO take the initiative to impart skill training to economically underprivileged youths across Delhi in the areas of essential management skills with a focus on retail sales management, personality development, teamwork, and leadership skills development.
