Karan Mally

Karan Mally is a casting director working predominately for Hindi film and television industry. Currently, he is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra and is working as a casting director at Indian and international films for motion picture and films. Karan Mally was born in Bangalore and later on shifted to Mangalore in 1986. He completed his studies from St.Joseph pre-University College and shifted to Mumbai to pursue his career in the industry. He worked as a casting assistant for Illuminati films. Later on, he worked as an actor for Ashutosh Gowariker productions since February 2014 but only for a year. He has also been working for Nandini Shrikant since October 2012 under the banner of kabiku productions.

Besides all these, he also worked for a year for dharma productions as a casting associate. He again worked as a casting director for excel entertainment Pvt. Ltd. He finally joined as a casting director at Indian and international films in June 2014 and is working on it until today. He started his career as a casting assistant for the movie 2 states. Directed by Abhishek Verma the film is a love story of a girl and a boy who come from very different cultural backgrounds. Released on 18th April 2014 the picture was a hit, giving Karan a good start in his career. Next film that he had assisted which also released in the same year islekar hum Diwanadil by Arif Ali.

He started acting with the television show Everest that was aired on star plus. Based on a father-daughter relationship the serial gave him fame and recognition. Following this, in the same year, another feature was released. Starring barun sobti and shenaz treasury in lead roles main aur Mr.Right did an average collection at the box office. He debuted as an assistant director with the movies like cowboys and Dil Dhadakne Do which were released in 2015. He also assisted the making of the television series Phirbhi Na mane badtameez dil which also released in 2015. He debuted as a casting director with the picture Aamer in 2016. Following it came abnormal; another short film, shor se suruat, dear zindagi, and azaad all in the same year.
