Plot
In the film Sadak 2, a girl named Aarya Desai is the protagonist. She destroys a placard of Guru Gyaan Prakash and faces retalitaion from her step-mother, father as well as the people from Gyaan Prakash’s ashram. There is also a man named

who has lost his wife, Pooja. This loss leads him to attempt suicide, but he fails and gets hospitalised instead. The doctors suggest that he should admit himself to a mental rehab, but he refuses. One day, Aarya runs away and happens to enter Ravi’s home. She tells him that she had booked Kailash three months earlier. Aarya tells Ravi to drive her to Kailash. Ravi agrees to do it for Pooja’s sake. Aarya then lets Ravi in on her mission of exposing all fake gurus, including Guru Gyaan Prakash. Nandini is one of the people who runs Gyaan Prakash’s ashram and the money she uses to run it was gained through exploitative methods. She killed Aarya’s mother in the past and began using their money to run the ashram. Aarya later bails out her boyfriend from jail but it turns out that her boyfriend was actually pretending to be in love with her so that he could kill her. They later discover that Aarya’s father is behind it all. Ravi is her only steadfast support through all this.
Star Performance
Sanjay Dutt acts well as the taxi driver who ends up helping Aarya complete her mission. He is good at showing the character’s contasting stoic and empathetic nature.
Alia acts excellently and does a great job of portraying her character as a fearless, intelligent and confident leader.
Analysis
The film’s story is too ordinary which makes almost every scene dull to watch. The dialogues used in the movie are not creative. The love story is pretty bland. One strength of the film is how it combines the two characters Aarya and Ravi who both have significant weaknesses. However, the relationship between Aarya and Ravi makes the film intriguing. These two have significant weaknesses are that Aarya is a woman in a misogynistic Indian society and Ravi is a taxi driver. However, when they both combine their strengths, they end up saving everyone; Aarya’s bravery, intelligence and leadership qualities, and Ravi’s empathy and physical strength are what save the day-two people with significant weaknesses come together against influential people. The writing is abysmal and eventhough the actors perform well, they are not able to rise above the mediocrity of the script.

The film is quite mediocre so I suggest you watch it when you are already bored.
