Farhan Akhtar’s much awaited project ‘120 Bahadur’ gets a release date.
According to the latest reports, the movie is all set to release on 21 November 2025, a few days after the 63rd anniversary of the Battle of Rezang La, on which the movie is based.
‘120 Bahadur’ is the second movie of director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, who had previously directed the forgettable espionage thriller ‘Dhaakad’. Apart from the director, this is also the comeback movie of Farhan Akhtar as an actor, who will be playing the iconic role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led the war-torn 124 soldiers of the Charlie Company of 13 Kumaon Regiment in a major battle against 3000 Chinese invaders.
Though only four of the 124 soldiers survived to see another day, they inflicted such a brutal damage that the Chinese were forced to call for an immediate ceasefire. ‘120 Bahadur’ will be Bollywood’s 1st official attempt to pay an earnest tribute to the valor of these bravehearts, the other being Chetan Anand’s ‘Haqeeqat’, which was loosely based on the same and starred an ensemble cast of Balraj Sahni, Sanjay Khan, Vijay Anand, Dharmendra, Priya Rajvansh etc.
‘120 Bahadur’ is Farhan Akhtar’s official comeback as an actor after four years. He last acted in the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Toofan’, which directly released on Amazon Prime in 2021.
