She started her career in the industry in the year 2012 as a child artist at the age of nine. She works in Tamil shows and movies as well. Her first performance on the television was in a dance program and she did a great job and was appreciated for her performance.

She won season 6 of the famous television show named ‘Jodi No. One’. She was also a part of the show 7aam Vaguppu C Pirivu as Gabby and this show was also used to broadcast on the channel STAR VIJAY.

She did 343 episodes of 7aam Vaguppu C Pirivu and it was all about school life of the village people and the series also won the award for the Best Fiction Series in the year 2014. She has also done many popular roles in many astonishing movies and the audience appreciate her performance a lot.

Kani Kusruti

Kani Kusruti is an Indian model and actress born on 12th September, 1985 in Thiruvananthapuram. Kani lives in Mumbai with her husband, Anand Gandhi who is an activist and a rationalist. Her father’s name is Maitreya Maitreyan and mother’s name is Jayasree AK. Kani Kusruti’s mother Jayasree is a community health specialist, a social activist and a lecturer at Pariyaram Medical College. Kani’s father has worked and led many human rights in Kerala. Her parents don't use their surname as they want to remove the mentality of the people that they have about the surnames in India. At the age of 15, Kani added the surname Kusruti to her name which means mischievous in Malayalam because the class 10th examination forms fill up demand it. She worked in the Abhinaya Theatre Research Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, a place for people who wants to practice theatre. She then went to Thrissur and enrolled her name in the theatre arts program at Thrissur Drama School from 2005-2007. Kani completed her education in theatre at the L’Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoq. She studied physical theatre for two years at L’Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoq. Kani Kusruti made her debut in theatre in Baudhayana's classic forte Bhagavadajjukam at Abhinaya Research Centre. She portrayed the lead role of Vasantsena from 2000-2006. The play travelled across theatre festivals, such as the Bharat Rang Mahotsav and the International Theatre Festival of Kerala. She portrayed the role of Kamala in Jyotish M G’s popular stage performance of Herman Hesse Siddhartha. In 2007, they were invited to the Villeneuve en Scene Festival d’Avignon. In 2009, after coming back from L'Ecole International de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Kusruti worked in the anthology film Kerala Cafe, in part “Island Express” which had been directed by Shankar Ramakrishnan. In 2010, she played the role of a Naxalite in the movie Shikkar starring Mohanlal. Kani got recognition after portraying the part of a sex worker in the movie Cocktail in 2010. Kani joined the theatre company Footsbarn in 2011 which travels the world. She portrayed the role of Miranda in Shakespeare’s drama named Tempest. After doing theatres in Ireland, Spain, France, Portugal and India, Footsbarn opened at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2013. Kani worked in a daily soap named Eswaran Sakshiyayi. She played the role of an advocate named Tresa. Kani Kusruti has also worked in a film directed by Vipin Vijay. Kani is a talented and amazing actress.
