Tharuna is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Kollywood, the Tamil film industry. She was born in the capital city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where she graduated from the Ethiraj College for Women with a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts. To date, she has appeared in her debut and only film “Pazhagiyathe Pirivatharka” (2011), directed by S. A. Selvakumar.
She portrayed the lead character in the romantic Tamil drama as the love interest of the protagonist played by Selvam. The movie was a big-time flop at the box office, grossing even less than its production budget. However, it did bring Tharuna into the limelight for her emotional acting.
