The 4-year-old prodigy broke a long standing record of Kamal Haasan when she was awarded the National Award for Best Child Artist for the Marathi movie Naal 2. Kamal had a warm chat with the young recipient, and advised her to train harder.

With this achievement, she broke the record for the youngest National Award winner, which was incidentally held by Kamal Haasan. The actor was barely six years old when he won his first National Award for Kalathur Kanamma as the Best Child Artist, which had released in 1960.
