Vijay Moves To Madras High Court Over Stampede

Looks like Vijay is headed for serious trouble.

In order to avoid arrest for his alleged role in the Karur stampede, the actor has approached the Madras High Court, alleging that the entire episode is a conspiracy staged by some powerful forces to crush his political faction, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam aka the TVK before the upcoming elections of 2026.

Though Vijay’s legal counsel did not name him directly, the incumbent CM of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin has been accused of negligence in the Karur episode, which left more than 35 people dead in the stampede. Vijay had previously participated in a political rally last year, that left six people dead in a similar tragedy. However, no action was taken against either the actor or the organizers.
