Devan Ekambaram

Devan is a famous singer, actor, and film composer, who has acted in American and Indian movies. Devan had released his songs first in the Tamil language and later he spread through various South Indian films like Kannada, Telugu, etc. Devan was born on 25th December in New Jersey, Freehold Township. Besides singing Devan is also a famous guitarist. Approximately till now, Devan has sung over 500 songs in different languages. It is very appreciable to sing that many songs when compared to his age, and it is the biggest achievement for him.

Devan had completed his schooling from Freehold Township High School located in New Jersey, and later he pursued his graduation at the University of Illinois in the field of electrical engineering. Devan had started his career from 1999 and is active till now. His latest song is “Machi Machi” for the album ‘Idhu Enna Maayam’ released in the year 2015. Devan played a role of an artist in Tamil films and also dubbed for some characters. Devan’s career as a singer started with an unexpected call from one of the assistants of A.R.Rahman.

Then he went to the recording studio and had sung a song “O Mariah” along with ‘ Yugendran The actor-cum-singer, Yugendran was born on 20th D >> Read More... ’ for the film ‘Kadhalar Dhinam.’ Later, that song had received an enormous response, and it became one of the hit albums. Along with the song’s success, he got many offers from the different music directors. There on he started his successful career as a singer. Devan’s second song was ‘Ore Nyabagam’ from the movie ‘Minnale’ which was released in the year 2001. His second song also got an enormous response among people; after that, he had got many chances for different songs in various languages.

Devan has sung two different remix genres of a song which is known as “Jack Swing Mix” and got a massive response. In 2010 he was the music director for the film ‘Bale Pandiya’, and it was the first album without any co-singers, which got a mixed response. Devan had sung many albums in the Tamil language. He also acted in few of the Tamil movies, and in every field he had got a colossal praise from the audience.
