Yugendran

The actor-cum-singer, Yugendran was born on 20th December 1976 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He started his singing career in the year 1987. He has two sisters, Pavithra, and Prashanthini, who is a Tamil playback singer, and has sung in the hit film ‘Veyil.’ While he was performing at the launch of a Tamil Radio Station ‘Swarna Oil’ in Sri Lanka in 1991, he met a girl ‘Hayma Malini’ who was an RJ-cum-host. He fell in love with this Singaporean girl and married her. They have three children. Along with his wife, he started a company ‘Rambutan Production’ in India and ‘Rambutan Media Works’ in Singapore. The couple together did TV shows in Singapore. He gave his debut solo performance at the age of 10.Untill the age of 14 years; he used to sing the female part of duets with his father.

As he grew up, he started giving solo performances in Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and America. Before making a name as a singer in India, he had already created a place for himself as an excellent singer in many other countries. Not only in India, but he has even done TV drama in Singapore and Malaysia. His interest then moved towards hosting TV shows. He hosted musical programs on Jaya TV and Sun TV. He even hosted shows of different genres; one was a treasure hunt show on Jaya TV. Yugendran had excelled in every field he went to, but singing gave him the best experiences of his life.
