M. M. Monissha is a Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu playback singer and has contributed a lot of songs in the music industry. During her childhood days, she performed in various functions at school time. Her interest in singing developed when she was a little girl. When she used to sing in her school and college days, she received much appreciation from her peers and teachers. She was born and brought up in Chennai, India later she moved to Mumbai to further enhance and pursue her career in singing. Sathyan Mahalingam or Sathyan as he’s popularly known as is an Indian singer from Chennai ( Tamil Nadu , India). Born on 31st May 1980 in Chennai . His present age is 36 years. His parents are Mr. Mahalingam and Mrs. Mariammal . Sathyan grew up with a different name and was known by the name Needhi Mohan during high school and college years. He later changed his name to M. Sathyan where the M stood for Mahalingam. Since the year 1996, Sathyan has been singing for a number of light music orchestras. He has performed for many leading light music orchestras in Tamil Nadu. He has worked for nearly 2500 stage shows as a singer for light music orchestras. Mahalingam entered the Tamil film industry in the year 2004. He debuted as a playback singer with the movie Vasool Raja MBBS with the song Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru. He has also worked on a project with actor Kamal Hassan and Padma Shri. He was introduced to Tamil cinema by Director Bharadwaj. Mahalingam has performed for various star shows in differentncountries. He has done music directions for several labels across theborder. He has composed for about 90 jingles and a couple of music albums for Shakti FM Sri Lanka. He composed a devotional song for Nallur Murugan temple in Sri Lanka . It has been voiced by T.M. Soundaranjan and P. Susheela. He also composed an Islamic devotional song which was sung by Mano. Some of his most celebrated works include- Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru , Sil Sil Sil mazhaiye, star hotel, Gulla Dracula. From an interview given to the Hindu some very note worthy things can be known about Sathyan , his bond with Meera Kathiravan, his learning techniques. His bond with Meera started when he complimented him for his work in Aval Pyar Thamiharasi on Facebook. This conversation lead to them becoming friends. Sathyan during that time was predominantly working on composing jingles and that’s when he composed a song and also pitched for Meera also. Meera liked it so much that he asked Sathyan to compose for Vizhuthiru. Sathyan had no formal training in music , composing etc. He has learnt it all by simply observing. He learnt arranging by observing Ilaiyaraaja Sir, and programming from Yuvan. He had a liking towards the atmosphere that was created by C.Sathyan at his studio.
