The movie’s basic plot revolves around a father, who gets stranded from his daughter in the UK, and how he is determined to reunite with her against all odds. The film was directed by AL Vijay, and released around the Pongal weekend, i.e. by 12 January.
Despite mixed reviews, the film earned 23 crores worldwide, compared to a low budget of 10 crores, and turned out to be a commercial success. Interestingly, ‘Mission: Chapter 1’ is one of the very few Tamil films, that have turned out to be commercially successful this year.
While Nimisha Sajayan is focusing on expanding her horizons with a couple of Hindi projects, Arun Vijay is currently focusing on his next film titled ‘
