The movie released on 21 February 2025, only a few weeks after Ajith Kumar’s comeback film ‘Vidaamuyarchi’. Despite low buzz, and being made on a medium budget of 35 crores, ‘Dragon’ surprised everyone as it outpaced even ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ to emerge as one of the highest grossing movies of Tamil cinema this year! The movie has collected an approximate total of 150 crores by now, surpassing the total of ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ by 12 crores.
