Made on a decent budget of 35 crores, ‘Dragon’ struck gold, earning an impressive total of 6.5 crores on the opening day. Despite the national popularity of Bollywood’s historical drama ‘Chhaava’, the movie held its ground, earning 30.05 crores in the opening weekend itself.

Overcoming the collections of ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ in the first week itself, ‘Dragon’ has collected nearly 100 crores throughout India, with 77 crores coming from the Tamil version alone. The overseas revenue combined, ‘Dragon’ has earned almost 150 crores worldwide, and with no major movie releasing until March 28, the movie has the potential to wrap around beyond the 200 crore club, making it the first successful Tamil movie to do so in 2025.
