Oviya has proved that she is more than a pretty face by taking her talent to the big screen. The fashion world has been buzzing since she did some catwalk and even appeared in some commercials. She made her debut in Malayalam cinema and worked in three Mollywood movies and even since she had made her acting debut in Kollywood, the excitement has been approaching at an unbearable level. Oviya is now a busy actress in Tamil cinema having a half-a-dozen projects in her hand, and she is working now in a Hindi film " Yeh Ishq Sarfira" which is almost nearing completion. Before starring in "Kalavani" and appearing in hit movies like Pandiraj's ‘Marina’, and Sundar C.'s ‘ Kalakalappu’, the actress had been a gifted modeler. She wants now to try different characters in various languages.

It is said that director Sargunam raised her to a movie star. Film director saw her face on the internet and then she was photographed for a leading role in his project. She reached star status with a leading role in Tamil ‘Kalavani’ and subsequently got to play the Kannada and Telugu remakes of Kalavani too in the same year, Critic called her the promising face in Kollywood then. Oviya was pretty much cinematic royalty in modeling, but she knew modeling does not last, and modeling would make her stereotype, and hence she tried her luck in movies. She has appeared in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films in a short span of her career. Currently for Oviya acting in Tamil cinema is on top of her resume. Most recently, she has graced several movies in Telugu and Kannada too, and was cast for the upcoming horror flick ‘ Hello Naan Pei Pesuren’, comedy film’144’ and many more. Niranjana is an actress in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She is from the Wayanad district of Kerala and studied at St.Catherine’s High School, where she took part in skit and drama shows. She initially wanted to be an IPS officer. She also has a Degree in Literature while studying in Business stream from Madras University. Niranjana has two sisters, one of whom is employed and the other is named Greeshma.   She was interested in acting from a young age. After applying for a casting audition she was selected for the role. Her family was very supportive. She moved to Chennai with her family soon afterwards. She speaks fluent Tamil, which she credits to watching Tamil movies throughout childhood.    She has also done modeling. Her first Tamil film was the Duraivanan directed 2013 film Yasakhan, in which she plays the love interest of the protagonist Surya (Mahesh). The role required a Madurai accent, which she found very difficult. The film was unique in that the female lead (Niranjana) woos the male protagonist, rather than the other way around.   Her second Tamil film was Soanpapdi. Directed by Balaji, the film is a comedy film produced by Shivani Home Productions. Her costar was actor Sri.   Her first Malayalam film Pakaram (The Alternative) was released in 2013. Directed by MG Radhakrishanan and co-starring Jagadish and Mala Aravindan, Niranjana’s character was a young girl who is forced to assume a lot of responsibilities in this tale of revenge. She has expressed an interest in being in an action film in the future.
