Koothattukulam Leela is from Koothattukulam. She is a theatre artist. Koothattukulam Leela, is one of the actresses who made the switch from stage to screen. She has performed in prominent roles in several well-known plays, including Ragam, Kattuthee, Crime 302, Manasilla Mantriyakan, Mooshikastree, and Mooshikashtree Pinneyum. She has been a member of numerous drama societies, including Kottayam National Theatre, Changanassery Geetha, Kollam Ajanta, and Changanassery Tharangam. In 1984 and 1994, Leela got the state award for best drama actress. Her first appearance in a movie was a brief part in a song scene in the 1968 movie Vella Katrina. She later appeared in a few movies.
