Chikkanna was born in Ballahalli district of Mysuru city in Karnataka, India. He has been working in the show-business since 2011. He is best known for his works in the Kannada cinema. Other than being the lyricist, he also played a small supporting role in it. Chikkanna is currently filming his new Kannada romantic comedy, titled Ishtakamya. The film will hit the screens in November 2016. He considers himself to be a natural comedian and loves to entertain his audience both on and off-screen. In a recent interview, during the promotion of his film, he talked about his desire of doing bad-ass characters of villains. He mentioned that he was always fond of becoming the “bad guy” instead of being a comedian in movies.
