Chikkanna was born in Ballahalli district of Mysuru city in Karnataka, India. He has been working in the show-business since 2011. He is best known for his works in the Kannada cinema. He has played many comic roles in various south Indian films. He debuted on television in a Mysore-based comedy show, titled Drishya Kalavide.

His second show was a comedy TV series on Udaya TV. Chikkanna did his first film in 2011, titled Kirataka. The movie was a Kannada comedy film by Pradeep Raj. The film starred Oviya and Yash in the lead. The film was a remake of the film, Kalavani (Tamil). Chikkanna did a supporting role and was well appreciated for his work. This movie led to his increased publicity. In 2013, he did a Laskhmisri Combines’ film, titled Raja Huli. The film was directed by Deshpande Guru and produced by K. Manu. The film was a remake of a Tamil flick, Sundarapandian of 2012. Chikkanna shared screen space with Meghana Raj, Harsha, and Yash. He played a comedy role of a boy named Chikka. The movie received a fantastic opening on its release day and gave tough competition to the Bollywood movie, Krrish 3. The moive proved to be one of the major super-hit films of the south Indian cinema. Chikkanna received the SIIMA Award for this film, under the category Best Comedian. His second major hit film was Adyaksha in 2014. The film was a Kannada language comedy by Nanda Kishore. The film was a remake of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and also starred Hebah Patel and Sharan. Chikkanna played the role of Narayana, who was the leader of the Chi Thu Sanghar group.

He received his second SIIMA Award for this film under the category Best Comedian. Chikkanna also wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Kuntebille’ of the film Sharpshooter in 2015. Other than being the lyricist, he also played a small supporting role in it. Chikkanna is currently filming his new Kannada romantic comedy, titled Ishtakamya. The film will hit the screens in November 2016. He considers himself to be a natural comedian and loves to entertain his audience both on and off-screen. In a recent interview, during the promotion of his film, he talked about his desire of doing bad-ass characters of villains. He mentioned that he was always fond of becoming the “bad guy” instead of being a comedian in movies.

Chetan Kumar is a Kannada actor, who was born in the year 1983 in Chicago in US. His family settled in US, due to his father’s job. His schooling was at Marist High School. He was the student of Yale University. He completed his graduation in Theatre arts and South Asian studies. As he was interested in the arts, he studied the South Indian Oral Traditions. He researched well about the class and caste along with the gender, to get a complete knowledge about the Indian Dramas. He worked hard to get a Fulbright Scholarship, in order to come to his native country, India. After coming to India in the year 2005, he started to act in theatrical plays. Sethu Maadhavana Sallaapa was his first stage play and Sooryasthadinda Sooryodayadavarage was his next one. Though he was born and brought up in US, he is well versed in Kannada and dubs his films by himself. He is also well versed in modern dance. He could also play the Saxophone well. Within a year of his visit to India, he got booked in a film called Aa Dingalu, in the year 2007. It was a debut movie for the director K. M. Chaitanya. His first movie presented him with the Best Debut Actor Award from Udaya Awards. In 2009, he was asked to appear in a guest role in Kannada Rising star Puneeth Rajkumar’s Raam. He acted in Birugaali and Suryakanthi consecutively. In Suryakanthi, he did a dual role, namely Surya and Rohith. He performed in Dashamukha and Myna. Though Dashamukha did not give a better output, it earned him a good name. Myna got released in 2013 and it was a stunning box office hit. Chetan Kumar is also working in a rural government school in Mysore as an instructor. He has also worked for the empowerment of the women.
