Plot
A joint family in Chikmagalur loses its daughters-in-law, one after the other, mysteriously. The youngest son, Dushyantha, marries Jaaji and brings her home. Soon after her arrival, Dushyantha’s father passes away, escalating the tension at home. However, after knowing that she might be the next target, Jaaji starts unravelling the past mysteries to get a clue. Was she successful? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Kushee Ravi excels in her role as Jaaji well. She is good at executing innocence and fear. Akshay Nayak did his role well. Mansi’s performance in the climax is excellent. Vijay Shobraj, Anirudh Acharya, Hitha Chandrashekar, RJ Anoopa, Archana Kottige, and Kushi Chandrasekhar have done a decent job in the given screen time.
Analysis
It is a good attempt in the Kannada web series history with a different and interesting script. The stars get good characters, yet some characters are not fully utilized. If they had been given enough screen time, they would’ve provided additional depth to their roles. The pace is not even throughout, and that’s a minus point. The script is good, yet it should’ve been polished a bit. It looks like a film split into episodes. The execution is good, which, combined with the performances makes the film interesting. The BGM is excellent and gels well with the screenplay.
