Shila Iqbal is a British actress known chiefly for the short film Going To Mecca, the television series Playhouse Presents, the flick Eaten By Lions, the show Emmerdale Farm.

Iqbal was born on June 17, 1994, and follows Islam. The actress graduated from the University of Manchester in 2015, where she pursued a bachelor’s in science in BS and audiology. The actress from London is one of the founders of Reinvenshen, which she started in June, 2020.

The actress shot to prominence with the television series Emmerdale Farm. Emmerdale, as it is also known, is a British soap opera which premiered in 1972 on ITV. The series, created by Kevin Laffan, features Christopher Chittell, Lucy Pargeter, and Mark Charnock. Shila essayed the role of Aisha Richards in the series from 2018-19.

The show is set against an imaginary village, Emmerdale, located in Yorkshire Dales. Initially, the show focused on the farm, which was inhabited by the Sugden family. Later, the focus shifted to the public house The Woolpack and other spots like a bed-and-breakfast and a factory.

In the 2013 short film Going To Mecca, Shila portrays Daughter 2. The short, helmed and scripted by Jason Wingard, stars Aqib Khan, Jack Carroll, and Tom Binns. The short follows the lives of two brothers who visit Blackpool to get throw away the ashes of their deceased father. However, since one of them is a surrogate child, the duo decides to meet the other one’s biological father.

Bankrolled by Mecca Films, the flick tracks the life of two half-brothers whose parents are feasted upon by lions. Therefore, they begin to live with their grandmother. However, when she also passes away, the duo sets out on a journey to find out the father of one of the boys.

The British actress has featured in several other works like the short film Aiysha, where she portrays the titular character and another short titled The Girl with the Butterfly Brain, where she plays Georgia.

Her television credits include Lala’s Ladiez, where she portrays Sima and Doctors. In Doctors, Iqbal makes an appearance as Mixie Bennett in the episode titled Set in Stone. She has also appeared in the series This Morning in 2019.
