Alice Ghostley is an English TV actress who was born on 14 August 1923 in Eve, Vernon County, U.S. She was raised in Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma but later she dropped out from there as she want to pursue her career in acting and theatre. In 1952 she first came on the television in Leonardo Sillman's New Face of 1952 and later was seen in the film version in 1954. She has also appeared as an ugly stepsister in one of the musical television production of Richard Rogers, the show named Cinderella in 1957.
Alice worked in some selected movies including New Faces in 1954, To kill a Mockingbird 1962, My Six Loves in 1963, The flim-flam Man in 1967, With Six you get Eggroll in 1968, Ace Eli and Rodger of the Skies in 1973, Blue Sunshine in 1977, Rabbit Test in 1978, Not for Publication in 1984, Addams Family Reunion in 1998, and Whispers: An Elephant's Tale in 2000. She performed her last role in the film as a doctor in Mothers and Daughter in 2006 and then she died in 2007 as she was battling colon cancer and several strokes.
Alice worked in more than 50 television series some of them are The best of Broadway in 1955, the United States Steel Hour in 1959, Dow Hour of the great Mysteries in 1960, Play of the Week in 1960, Please don't eat the Daisies in 1966, He and She in 1968,

For her great contribution, she was nominated in Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and later won Awards for Quality Television Awards in the category of Speciality Player.
