Biddu Appaiah is an Indian British singer-songwriter, composer, and music producer. He was born on the 8th of February in 1944. He was born in the city of Coorg, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. He began his music career in the 1960s, singing as part of a music band in India before moving to England where he'd start his career as a patron. Considered one of the settlers of disco, Euro disco, and Indian pop, he has had millions of records worldwide and has entered an Ivor Novello award for his work.Biddu Appaiah has also been ranked at no. 34 on NME's" The 50 Greatest Producers Ever" list. He began producing his own composition under the name Biddu Orchestra, which had started an orchestral disco trend in Britain and Europe with 1975 which was a hit " Summer of 42" and" Blue-Eyed Soul"; his solo had made 40 million worldwide.
He also launched the careers of other British disco stars similar as Tina Charles, helping her sell 36 million records many times, and Jimmy James; scored soundtracks for several British movies similar as The Stud( 1978); and produced a song for the French musician Claude François. During that decade, he also produced several hit Bollywood soundtracks for work similar to Qurbani( 1980) as well as several hit songs for Japanese star Akina Nakamori and Chinese pop artist Samantha Lam.
