Jada Pinkett Smith is an American singer, writer, actor and a businesswoman. She started her career in 1990 with a small role in True Colors. She has been a part of more than 20 movies of different plot style and theme. She runs a charity organization named Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation, who works for the poor and backward class of the society. She was born in Maryland. Her father Robsol, was a contractor and her mother Adrienne Banfield was a nurse. She went to Baltimore School of the Arts. She was always interested in acting and had been a part of various drama competitions in the school time. She got her first move when she joined True Colors which was a sitcom. She made her debut with the movie Menace II Society in the year 1993. Later she appeared in movies like Lyric (1994), The Nutty Professor (1996), Set it Off (1996), Scream 2 (1997). She had also directed various musical videos and even designed women’s clothes. In 2000 she appeared in Bamboozled by Spike Lee.
