Anna Faris

Anna Kay Faris is an Actress and Film Producer of American origin who has mainly done comic films in her career. She was born to a sociologist Jack and a special education teacher Karen. She has an elder brother named Robert Faris. He has also become a sociologist and a professor at the California University. She grew up in the family in a conservative atmosphere but was put in drama classes when her age was six. Since beginning, she was fond of watching plays and skits. She used to mock as a producer in front of her friends and even imagined herself being at the talk shows. She completed her graduation in the year 1994 from Edmonds-Woodway High School.

She had started performing on stages at an early age. With Seattle Repertory Company, she acted on stage and in radio plays at National level. She performed a one-act play named Danger. She earned a small amount of money through it which was too big for her. She was an innocent girl who never thought that she would be a famous movie star. She continued acting to earn money for a living. She played the role of a scout in a movie and also played the main character in Heidi. She played as Rebecca in the all time favorite “Our Town”. After graduation, she had a lined-up job of a receptionist in London, but her attraction towards drama didn't allow her to go. She stayed in Los Angeles and her first film was “Scary Movie”. She worked hard and at the age of 22, she left her parents house. She lived independently in an apartment located in Hancock Park.

In the famous series “Friends”, she played the role of birth mom of Chandler and of Monica's adopted kids. She was featured in the indie drama “Eden” as a supporting cast. It was premiered at Sundance Film Festival in the year 1996. Till now she had played small roles. In 1999, she played her first major role in the movie “Lovers Lane”. She played the role of a cheerleader in it. Lovers Lane earned bad reviews from the critics but Anna's role was appreciated by everyone. They called Anna the center of interest in the movie. She looked cute and the innocence on her face won everyone's heart.

Her success journey started in the year 2000 with the horror film Scary Movie in which she played the character of Cindy Campbell. She had only appeared in small parts till now. But Scary Movie was a breakthrough for her. She won many awards for this movie like the Best Kiss Awards and the Breakthrough Female Performance at the MTV Movie Awards in 2001. At the start of the year 1999, she met ‘Ben Indra’ on the sets of Lovers Lane and began dating him and married in 2004.
