Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld is an American actress, model, and singer. She is one of the young stars who have achieved stardom at a very young age.

The actress was born on 11 December 1996 and was raised in Los Angeles, California.

This 19-year-old star is the daughter of actor Peter Steinfeld and interior designer Cheri Steinfeld. She also has a younger brother, Griffin Steinfeld.

She grew up in Agoura Hills and later in Thousand Oaks, CA. She went to Ascension Lutheran School, Colina Middle School. From 2008 onwards, she was home schooled till her graduation.

As far as her movie career is concerned, she started very young andappeared in various short films at the age of 8. Some of these have been award- winning films. She was a part of a short film called 'She's a Fox' where she played Talia Alden.

She has also done many TV commercials, guest appearances on many TV shows.

Hailee's full- fledged movie debut was at the age of 13 in 2010 in the movie named 'True Grit' in which she played Mattie Ross. This movie is known for her big breakthrough as she was chosen from a line of 15000 girls. For this movie, even her critics showered praise on her, and she also got nominated for the 83rd Academy Awards in the category of Best Supporting Actress. This movie marked a turning point in her acting career.
