Joely Richardson

Joely Kim Richardson was born on January 9 1965. Her parents are Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson. Her grandparents are Rachel Kempson and Michael Redgrave. She completed her education at a girl’s school. By the age of 14, she moved to the Hopman School in Florida. She completed her Graduation at Thacher Academy in California. She started her career in the year 1985; she appeared in ‘Wetherby’, which was her first appearance in the movie’s flashback of her mother's younger version. After that, she appeared in a lead role in Drowning by Numbers. Her first appearance on stage was for the television series ‘Poirot’ as Joanna Farley in the year 1989 which was based on some detective episodes. By the year 1989, she appeared in her next show, Jim Henson's The Storyteller, as Princess.

She then appeared in the role of a teacher in her next talkie “Behaving Badly” which is a series episode of the year 1989 and in a fictional show and comedy show. After a year, she appeared in a play Shining Through. By the year 1993, she appeared in ‘Lady’. By the year 1996, she played the role of a fashion designer in the animated movie 101 Dalmatians, where she was cast opposite to the villain, Cruella de Vil. By the year 1998, she appeared in the television show The Echo where she played Amanda Powell. By the next year, she played in a horror movie called Event Horizon.

She then continued acting in several films and television drama like The Patriot, a film about the American Revolution. In 2000, Maybe Baby, a film based on the concept of Ben Elton's book, Inconceivable. In the year 2001, she was cast in the drama The Affair of the Necklace. By the year 2003, she played in the drama series ‘Nip/Tuck’ as Julia McNamara. By 2007, she played the role of mother with Timothy in The Last Mimzy.
