’s film House Of Payne, she played the role of Ella Payne and was best known for this role. With the director and writer Tyler Perry she has done extensive work.
She has also played many roles in his production. In stage plays also she appeared. In 1988 her career began with her role in Spark Lee film School Daze. Living Single, Married... with Children, Kenan & Kel, Boycott, and The PJ's are some television credits which includes her early appearances.
Cassandra established her career by doing movies titled Madea's Family Reunion, Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Madea Goes to Jail, and Daddy’s Little Girls, which are the films of Tyler Perry production. She went to Spelman College which is located in Atlanta and graduated in music.
During her senior recital, she was not allowed to perform religious music because of which she left her college one credit short of graduation. She credited her devout to born-again Christian faith which became the main reason behind her professional success.
