Plot
Vianne and Anthony have spent 40 years together as a married couple. To celebrate their precious moment, their children, A.J., Jesse, and Sylvia, plan a surprise party for them. In this, AJ called, Carol is providing her assistance. The guests coming to this party are Madea, Joe, Brian, Aunt Bam, Hattie, and Heathrow. On their journey, they meet a police officer who is rude at first but later surprisingly becomes kind. When they reach the hotel, they see their father making love with their mother's best friend, Renee. During the sex, their father got a heart attack which led to his death. A.J. and Madea hide the exact cause of death to the family. What will A.J. and Madea do? How Vianne will manage her husband's death? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Tyler Perry did a satisfactory performance in the film. Tyler Perry played various roles in the movie. Roles he played as Madea Simmons, Joe Simmons, Brian Simmons, and Heathrow Simmons. The audience will always get fascinated by part of Madea. Courtney Burrell, as A.J. did an excellent job in his position. Ciera Payton, as Sylvia, was perfect. Both son and daughter try their best to hide their father’s cause of death. The situation was hard to hide, but they did their best to solve it in their way. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.
Analysis
The storyline of the film was great, funny, and entertaining. The film focus on the affairs of a father and his sudden death, causing problems for his family. It is an end to the Madea franchise. Madea films are known for bad things, and this one is the worst. There was no quality in the storyline of the film. The film had many comic elements but failed in logical thinking and reasoning. The storyline was good but it could be better. The cinematography and editing were perfect. The sound tracks in the film was good. The film portrays the reality of a fake family and how in the end, they are going to collapse. The comic nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. It showcases the struggles of a black family in the movie. The film is suited for adults, not for children. It was not as good as previous sequels, but still okay to watch. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent. There is swearing and sexual content in the film.
