Son Lux

Son Lux was born in the Denver county of Colorado in United States of America. His real name is Ryan Lott. Son Lux is his stage name. He is a musician from America. He resides in New York City with his parents. Son started his career as a musician in 2007. He started working as a jingle composer for many television commercials.

In 2008, he finally launched his first album, titled At War with Walls and Maze, which was recorded by Anticon. The album consisted of eleven songs. Sputnik music gave 4.5 stars to the album. Son was given the title of the Best New Artist by the NPR in the show, All Songs Considered. After three years of the release his first album which was a great success, he launched his second album in 2011. The album was titled We Are Rising under and was produced by the Anticon studios. The album was recorded in just 28 days so as to complete the RPM Challenge (a February month challenge offered to musicians in which they have to make a whole new album with ten songs in just 28 days). All Music society and Christian Today gave four stars to the album. The two songs, Chase and Let Go are the best-known songs from this album. Lux formed a collaborative along with Sufjan Stevens and Serengeti in 2012. They were known by the name S/S/S in the starting. The group together made their debut in the album Beak and Claw, under Anticon in 2012. The album consisted of four songs, which was given average reviews and scores. In 2013, the band changed its name to Sisyphus, which was inspired by an art work of Jim Hodges (artist). He was also a part of the Young People’s Chorus in 2014. The chorus was performed at the Carnegie Hall in NYC.

He was also the member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, where he shared the stage with Kate Davis, Doseone, Laurie Anderson, and Philip Glass Composers are often known to immortalize music thr >> Read More... . He also collaborated with Jum Hodges, Sufjan Stevens, and Serengeti in a musical at the Art Museum at Walker in the February month of 2014. Son’s album, Alternate Worlds was released in late 2014. He collaborated with singer Lorde for this album. The album fetched him a contract with the Glassnote Records. In 2015, he joined The Art Assignment, which is a collaborative initiated by Sarah. He worked with Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang for his next album, titled Bones. The album released on 23rd June 2015.
