Max Minghella

Max Giorgio Choa Minghella is an American actor. He was born on 16 September 1985 in Hampstead, London. He is the son of an Oscar-winning director, namely, late Anthony Minghella and dancer and choreographer Carolyn Jane Choa. He pursued his education from St Anthony’s Preparatory School and University College School in Hampstead. He completed his graduation in history from Columbia University in 2009. He deemed his studies as the priority. He used to act in films only in summer breaks. Many of his friends had no clue that he is an actor.

Max Minghella’s decision to opt, acting, as a career strengthened during his teenage years after seeing a play “This is Our Youth” at London’s West End. He attended National Youth Theatre to continue his acting career. Max had an appearance as an extra in his father’s film titled as Cold Mountain. His first movie was Bee Season, playing the role of a son of a dysfunctional Jewish American family. Although the movie earned only $1 million in its limited release, the critics praised Max. He came up with his next movie titled “Syriana” released in 2005. It was a political thriller. He played the role of a son of George Clooney’s CIA agent character. Max acted in a comedy directed by Terry Zwigoff in Daniel Clowes adaptation Art School Confidential. Max dated an actress Kate Mara from 2010 to 2014. Max’s upcoming movie is The 9^th Life of Louis Drax by Miramax.
