He is Erik Von Detten. He was born in San Diego, California, USA, on October 3, 1982. His parents were Susan Von Detten, the photographer, and Volker Von Detten. He has three sisters and one brother.

Erik Von Detten started his career as an actor, unexpectedly, but at a very tender age. When he was nine years old, he played the role of Nicholas Alamain, for which he soon got connected to the role. In 1995, he gave the voice to the negative character, Sid Phillips, in ‘Toy Story’. He did commendable work at the age of thirteen. Toy Story is an animated movie directed by John Lasseter. Later, in 1996, he appeared in an American television movie, Christmas Everyday, directed by Larry Preece. Billy Jackson is the role in which Erik appeared in, and it is the short story adaption of Christmas Everyday. Then, he made the role of Wally Cleaver in Leave It To Beaver. This movie is a remake of the sitcom, Leave It To Beaver. According to the reviews, it is a flop.

Erik Von Detten acquired reasonable stardom by then, and he took the role of Andy Brink Brinker in the Disney movie, ‘Brink’. Brink was a very challenging film for Erik, because he had to act with famous actors like Sam Horrigan, and the movie portrays a competitive spirit between two groups of children. Mike Schondele is the creator of this work. Then, Garry Marshall directed the 2001 film, The Princess Diaries, which was his next project. He took the role of Josh Bryant and acted alongside Anne Hathaway. This film was a big hit then and topped in the third rank. It also won the ASCAP Top Box Office Film.
