Matthew Langford Perry, or popularly known by all as ‘Chandler Bing’, is the son of the legendary American actor/ musician, John Bennett Perry. Needless to say, like father like son, Matthew also turned to the endless opportunities of show business, just like his father. This American – Canadian actor was born on 15 August of 1969.

He started appearing on screen amusing his viewers from an early age. He was born Matthew Langford Perry on 19 August 1969 in Massachusetts. He grew up in Ottawa where he developed a passion for tennis. He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15 when he started pursuing acting.

His film debut was in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon (1988) where he played a supporting character. He intended to join the University of Southern California when he was offered the leading role in the television series Second Chance. He later appeared in Empty Nest (1989), Growing Pains (1989); She’s Out of Control (1989), Sydney (1990), Call Me Anna (1990), Beverly Hills 90210 (1991), Home Free (1993) and L.A.X. 2194 (1994).
