Matthew Goode, also known as Matthew William Goode is a well-known actor known for his appearance in films in the British film industry. He is recognized for his roles in popular hit flicks like ‘Watchmen’ in which he appeared as ‘Adrian Veidt’ or ‘Ozymandias’, and as ‘Henry Talbot’ in the famous British television show, ‘Downtown Abbey.' He was born as Matthew William Goode on the 3rd of April in the year 1978 in the city of Exeter in Devon in England. He was born to Jennifer Goode, who was a nurse by profession and a small-scale theater director as well, and to Mr. Goode, who was a geologist by profession. 

Matthew did his higher secondary education from Exeter School located in Victoria Park Road and later joined the University of Birmingham where he did his graduation. After this, he joined The Webster Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art located in London. Matthew was seen on screen for the first time in the year 2002 in the television movie ‘Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister’ where he appeared as ‘Caspar.' He is popularly recognized for his role in ‘Lost’ the award-winning television drama series in which he appeared as ‘Jack Shephard’. He was born on the 14th of July in 1966 in Abington in Pennsylvania in the US. He was born as Matthew Chandler Fox to Francis G. Fox, an oil company consultant, and to Loretta B., a teacher. He has two siblings namely Bayard and Francis Jr. After his parents had moved to Wyoming, he completed his high school education from there and later joined the Deerfield Academy located in Deerfield. Later on, he obtained a major in Economics from Columbia University.  Fox made his entry into the field of films after a lot of work on television. When he was still in his twenties, he was cast as ‘Ty Warner’ in one of the episodes of the famous NBC sitcom, ‘Wings’ in 1992. Later in the same year, he was cast as ‘Danny Foley’ in ‘Freshman Dorm’ and appeared as the boyfriend of Molly.
