Edgar Filiberto Ramirez Arellano is of Venezuelan origin and was born in Tachira to “Soday" and “Filiberto Ramirez”, and has a sister named “Nataly.” He can speak French, Spanish, English, German, and Italian languages fluently as he had traveled so many places during his childhood. He graduated from “Catholic University” with Mass Communication in 1999. He then worked as a journalist, during his graduation.
Firstly Edgar appeared in a Venezuelan telenovela “Cosita Rica” in some significant episodes that were produced by a television network named “Venevision”. Then “Domino” film directed by “Tony Scott” was the first notable movie in which Edgar acted. He also featured in “Vantage Point” which was directed by Mr. Pete Travis. He co-starred with

“Carlos” was the breakthrough film for Edgar, which earned him six nominations including Golden Globe awards. This movie also made him win “Cesar Award” for most Promising Actor.
Edgar is also involved in many Philanthropic Activities which includes “No Dispares; its Motto is to eliminate the number of injuries and deaths caused by the unnecessary use of guns. He was also a part of “5 Senses in Action”, which benefits children with special needs. He became the Goodwill Ambassador of the UNICEF in 2010.
Edgar’s personal belief about acting was that it was the most poetic approach to understanding human nature. His films “
