Born on April 30, 1967 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire in England, Steven Mackintosh is a notable Hollywood actor. He was born to Malcolm Mackintosh and Dorothy Parris. His father was a builder, and his mother used to work in the office. Steven did his schooling from Icknield Primary School, Sawston, England and the Sawston Village College, England. He also has a sister- Lynda.
Steven never wanted to become an actor, but he had a passion for music during his childhood days. Steven started acting at the Bush Theatre in London when he was twelve years old and played the role of Dopey in the play, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when he was in school. In 1980, he attended The Sylvia Young Theatre School and performed in the play, The Number of the Beast. Steven then bagged the main role in Brighton Beach Memoirs, a play produced by the Royal National Theatre.
Steven enrolled himself at the Hills Road College, Cambridge but then decided to quit college to focus on his acting career. He landed his first role in the movie, “Prick Up Your Ears” (1987). This movie was influenced from the life of Joe Orton, and he portrayed the role of young Joe. He then went ahead to act in films like Twelfth Night, Memphis Belle and Land Girls. Steven played the role of Joe Lawrence in the movie, Land Girls (1998) and his role was widely appreciated.
He then essayed the role of Winston in the movie “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”. This movie was a super-hit and got a rating of 8.2 on IMDb. Steven rose to prominence with the movies like The Mother, The Jacket, “Underworld: Evolution”, Good, and “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”. In 1989, Steven tied the knots with a famous actress, ‘Lisa Jacobs’. Steven and Lisa are the proud parents of two daughters- Martha and Blythe.
