Caroline Goodall, an English-born actress and an accomplished screenwriter, a publisher, a mother and a journalist, shot into prominence after she was nominated for the AFI nomination award owing to her performance in “Hotel Sorrento” (1995), and the 1989 mini-series ‘Cassidy’. The furtherance of hype for her acting was eminent in Schindler's list (1993), Princess Diaries (2001), ‘Hook’ (1991), ‘Cliffhanger’ (1993) and the list goes on. Caroline was born on 13th of November, 1959 in London, England, to a publisher father and a journalist mother who were the roots of her inspiration, impulse and whim. She studied at St. Leonards-Mayfield School and later did B.A in Drama and English from the Bristol University, in the year 1991. She was a member of National Youth Theatre in her college days. She got married to Derek Hoxby in the early 90's and later to Nicola Pecorini, on 17th of September, 1994, a prolific Steadicam operator and an accomplished cinematographer. Gemma and Leone are the children of the couple. Her sister, Victoria Goodall, also a producer, got married to actor/director Dallas Cambell.

During her college days, she joined Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and in National Theatre. She bagged a RIFF Best Actress award for her appearance in 'Massimo Cogliano's two-hander thriller “The Elevator” (2014).

Her part as a screenwriter also bagged credits for “The Bay Of Silence” in addition to the screen adaptations for HKM Films in Rupert Thomson's Dream Of Leaving. Her best TV series appearances include “The White Queen” portraying Lady Cecily Neville, the Duchess of York. Her film career has brought her a lot of critics praise. Throughout her career, she has starred in popular films as Emilie Schindler in Schindler’s List(1993), Moira Banning in Hook (1991), Kristel in Cliffhanger (1993), as Elyne Mitchell in The Silver Brumby (1993), and the list goes on. Her featuring in The White Queen (2013) as Duchess Cecily is worth praising. Goodall was consistent, as justified by her appearances in series as Estella in “The Moon Stallion,” BBC (1978), as Ann Boltonin “Charles & Diana: A Royal Love Story”. The year 1998 is worth remembering for her as she hit her purple patch. Not only she starred as the protagonist in a lot of films, but also she cracked up a run of series as Heather Frazer in ‘Opernball’ (also known as Opera Ball) and as Debra Loomis in Rhapsody in Bloom. Her best mini-series being Cassidy, portraying Charlie Cassidy.
