David Koechner is also known as David Michael Koechner, is an American Comedian and an actor, known especially for his role Champ Kind in the movie Anchorman. Koechner was born on August 24, 1962, in Tipton, Missouri. His father’s name was Cecil Stephen Koechner and Margaret Ann. He is from English, German and Irish descent. He attended Benedictine College where he studied Political Science. He later went to the University of Missouri. After completing his graduation, Koechner got interested in acting and went to ImprovOlympic, for studying improvisational comedy. He then decided to take up acting as a profession. In ImprovOlympic, he was guided by his instructor Del Close. After graduating in Chicago in the year 1994, Koechner joined The Second City comedy troupe in Chicago.
