The actor was cast as the father of two boys in the series ‘Flipper’. The series had a Dolphin as another principal and title character. So as to get original landscapes, the film was shot in locales like Miami and the Bahamas.

There was a huge fan growth for this actor after this series was telecast as people liked the character of a widowed father. Even the actor has told in many tabloids that he was impressed with the character he was playing in the series. Before joining movies, he was an acclaimed model for his extraordinary handsome looks. He was spotted as doing a commercial for radio and televisions then. It was later in late-50’s that the actor took his initiatives to land up in Hollywood and was offered a considerable role in many TV series, and he was content in getting such roles even. He appeared in TV series such as Paradise (1959) in a guest role.

The show was aired on ABC from 1959 until 1962. Later in 1962, he got a chance to act in another TV series ‘21 Beacon Street’ which was a detective drama aired on NBC channel. By appearing in these few TV series, nothing had advanced in his career significantly. It was only by appearing in NBC television series ‘Flipper’ that the actor came to prominence. He then also had a brief movie career.

He appeared in a movie named ‘Around the World Under the Sea’ (1966). Following this film, he went to appear in a leading role for another movie named ‘The Love Machine’ (1970), but met with an accident and his legs became paralyzed. As he could no longer act after this tragic incidence, he tried to produce movies and turned a producer. He was a co-producer of a film ‘Harrison Ford Starrer Blade Runner ‘(1982) and associate producer of Cities of the Wild (1996). The actor had two marriages.

Brian Kelly passed away on February 12, 2005, in New Jersey.
