Mel Rodriguez is an American actor. He rose to fame with the movies Panic Room (2002), The Terminal (2004), Little Miss Sunshine (2006) and The Watch (2012). Mel has done roles in the HBO, AMC and FOX comedy sit-com.
Rodriguez was born on June 12, 1973, in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. His real name is Melvin Dimas Rodriguez. Mel was never interested in acting and did not want to pursue his career as an actor rather he wished to be a boxer. It was his high school teacher that molded Mel’s Career as an actor at the age of 17. He dropped high school and graduated from SUNY Purchase. Mel started doing stage shows and the first role on screen acting was in an episode of Law & Order. His first feature film was Wirey Spindell in 1999.
His most prominent role was in the ABC’s ‘ George Lopez American stand-up comedy actor and a famous host G >> Read More... ’ as Frank. Mel’s other movies after Wirey Spindell were Panic Room, Deuces Wild, Showtime, The Terminal, Garfield: The Movie, Shark Bait, Little Miss Sunshine, Lakeview Terrace, The Watch and Suburban Gothic. He did several of TV shows which were Third Watch, Spin City, George Lopez, Running Wilde, Workaholics, Enlisted, and Better Call Saul.
Currently, he is seen in the TV series ‘The Last Man on Earth’.
