Jeff Nichols is an American writer, and a film director. Jeff was born on 7 December in the year 1978 in Little Rock, Arkansas in the USA. Nichols is the brother of Lucero and Ben Nichols.

Jeff was interested in making films. He admired to make movies. He attended University of North Carolina School Of Arts to study filmmaking. After completing his degree on filmmaking, he directed films. In 2007, Nichols directed and wrote 'Shotgun Stories'. The film starred Barlow Jacobs, Michael Shannon, and Glenda Pannell. The story was about a fight between half-brothers specifying the death of their dad in the rural area, Arkansas. It received the positive response from critics and appreciated. In 2011, he directed and written ' Take Shelter'. He cast Katy Mixon, Kathy Baker, Shea Whigham, Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon. It is a thriller film based on the story of a father and a young husband who questions themselves that whether they should protect their family from a storm or by himself. This film nominated as Best Horror Film for four Saturn Awards. Nichols won the award for best writing. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has 91% rating.

In 2012, Nichols came up with another one titled as 'Mud'. The stars were Tye Sheridan, Sam Shepard, Jacob Lofland, Matthew McConaughey, and Reese Witherspoon. It competed at the Cannes Film Festival 2012 for the Palme d’Or. It had exhibited at the Sundance Festival. The box office got the limited response in the first few days but after some days, it earned more than four million dollars. This film grabbed numerous awards. It bagged Robert Altman Award for the casting director and film director at the 29thIndependent Spirit Awards. The National Board of Review nominated this movie as the top ten movies in the year 2013. In the year 2012, he became the President of the Jury at the seventh Rome Film Festival.

In 2016, Nichols directed and wrote ' Midnight Special'. He featured Adam Driver, Joel Edgerton, Michael Shannon, Sam Shepard, Kirsten Dunst, and Jaeden Lieberher. It was his first studio production. It selected to compete at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival for the Golden Bear. It collected positive reviews from critics.

Nichols next film ' Loving' will release on 4 November 2016. It is about the court case on historical U.S civil rights.

A critic Peter Travers from a magazine, Rolling Stone said that Nichols is the best American director.

Then he went for film making course in the college “Ahuntsic” and at the University “du Quebec a Montreal”. In 1990, he produced many short films. Then in 1991, he directed Sterotypes, which was a comedy and an inspiration for American movies of classical times and received many prizes in many events. In 1995, he did the movie Liste, and it was the highest earning film that year and got the nomination at the Genie Awards. Then, he moved to Los Angeles and in 1998 he directed “Los Locos” which was written and starred by ‘Mario Van Peebles’ and in 1999 produced “Loser Love”. After accomplishing these low budgeted productions, he did direction for “The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne” in 2000. Coming to his 2011 movie, “Cafe de Flore” was directed as well as written by Vallee. It was a love story based movie. It reflected upon a mother and son’s love as well as the love bond shared by a man and a woman. It even got nomination for the “32nd Genie Awards”. Then coming to his 2014 movie Wild, in which ‘Reese Witherspoon’ was the actor was featured in the “Toronto Film Festival” at 8th September and at the “San Diego Film Festival” at 24th September. It was a North American release dated 5th December 2014. Then during May 2015, he got an award named “National Arts Centre” and a companion award named “Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards” for extraordinary work compared with last year. Jeff Wadlow is an American film director, a producer, and a screenwriter. He was born on 2 March in the year 1976 at Arlington, Virginia. Jeff is famous for his comedy movie 'Kick-Ass 2' which released in the year 2013. He was the writer and as well as the director of the film. He is the son of Emily Couric and R. Clark Wadlow. His father was a state member of a legislature. His aunt is popular on television as Katie Couric. Wadlow completed his graduation in History and film from Dartmouth College. Wadlow used to write quotes in Animation. Moving on, Wadlow received a USC A.E. Scholarship for his excellence in academics. He used that scholarship to study on Cinema and attended University of Southern California School. In 2001, he completed his graduation. In California, Wadlow created, acted, directed and co-written a film in 2002, which he named as 'The Tower of Babble'. His film applauded with more than 20 awards. It recognized as the best short film in New York. It received a Student Award at Film Festival in the USA, George Melies Cinematography Award, and International Independent Film & Video Festival. It appreciated as the best short film at the St. Louis International Film Festival. Jeff Wadlow as a young actor received another award for a short movie 'Manual Labor' at Wine Country Film Festival that released in the year 2002. In 2004, he grabbed the title of Best Animated Short for 'Catching Kringle' at the New Haven Film Fest. After bagging so many awards with different labels, Wadlow wanted to do a feature film. In 2005, 'Cry_Wolf', which was a directorial act of Wadlow, came up. Wadlow invested the money that he won for the film 'Living the Lie', in the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Competition. Wadlow and Beau Bauman, a co-writer designed a presentation for featuring Estella Warren and Topher Grace. Both of these actors won a prize at the Toronto Film Festival. Jeff Wadlow appeared in 'Pearl Harbor'. He did the role of a professor in 'Roswell'. Wadlow started a project named The Adrenaline Film Project. This project was to help ambitious filmmakers to create and complete the making of a short film within 72 hours. In 2008, he starred Sean Faris and Djimon Hounsou in his film 'Never Back Down'. He directed the whole movie. His upcoming projects are 'X-Force' and 'Masters of the Universe'.
