Eric England

Eric England is an American horror filmmaker who was born on February 23, 1988; His real name was David Eric England. Although he has made a few numbers of films since his debut as an independent filmmaker in 2012, the director is known in Hollywood for writing story and screenplay and even as a producer. He is known for two selective films ‘Madison County’ which released in 2013 and another one was ’Contracted‘ released in 2013. ‘Contracted’ was a good horror movie, but critics found that it was a similar one to movie ‘Thanatomorphose’ which was a Canadian horror movie released in 2012.

A few Canadian magazine had criticized the filmmaker for marketing the movie for sharing similarities with ‘Thanatomorphose’, but Eric rubbished those allegations made to him. It is said that Eric England had written the script in 2012, but he had a difficulty in casting as many actors found the content too ‘erotic and bold.' The director also had the paucity of funds and had thus managed to schedule the shooting for the movie with greater conflicts. Even it is believed that veteran horror actress Caroline Williams had approached the director to cast her in an important role through her Facebook page. Eric England had cast Caroline Williams as the mother of leading actress in the film. His two movies which totally went unrecognized were 'Hostile Encounter' (2010) and 'The Trick or Treater' (2011).

The director is known for his patience and slow work in production schedules. Hence, after shooting for ‘Madison County’, he planned to make a film based on a thriller topic for a movie ‘Roadside' about a young couple whose car gets stuck on the road. He got the idea to make ‘Roadside’ when the trailer for the movie Madison County was published. In many of his movies, he signs actors who are not big or established stars but have positive viewers acknowledgment due to horror theme. Also, every movie has a very few character to deal with the plot or story of the film. After trying his hand on a number of a horror theme, the director had finally planned to shoot a film named ‘Get The Girl’ which will be a comedy one. The theme of the movie will be based on kidnapping ideology. Viewers need to watch out his next project very soon.
