Deryck Broom is a writer and director from Cape Town, South Africa. He is the co-founder and in-house director of the Trilogy Creative Studios, along with Gareth Ahrens and Anthonie Scholtz. Deryck earned popularity after he directed The Lion of Judah (2011); the very first 3D computer animated feature film in South Africa. The Warner Home Video has released the DVD and Blu-ray Disc of The Lion of Judah in 2012. Deryck has directed over 300 films.
He also worked on a variety of television commercials, TV shows, short films, and videos. His debut commercial was for Engen’s Athletics; a finalist at The London International Advertising Awards. In 2012, his film Erf 486, with Sabine Palfi in the lead role, was released. He penned and directed the films, Jack of Hearts (2013), The Final Blow (2014), and A Case of the Shanks (2015).
