He was born on December 8, 1983, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was raised in Maryland by his parents, who were research scientists at the National Institutes of Health and migrated from India in the 1980s. Utkarsh completed his schooling at one of the nearby prestigious schools in the city and later went to university for his further education. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2004. Afterward, he decided to make his career in the film industry and, after that, commenced his journey. Utkarsh is a former VJ who was seen working for MTV Desi.

He is famous by the name of UTK the INC, and he's also recognized as an American actor, rapper, and singer. Throughout his career, he has produced a plethora of brilliant work.He has portrayed the character of Donald in the famous sitcom, Pitch Perfect, which earned him enormous respect and fame all across the nation.
