Mel Brooks

Melvin Kaminsky is an American actor was born on 28th July 1926 is known professionally as Mel Brooks. He is an American director, writer, actor, comedian, producer and composer. Mel is known as a creator of broad film farces and comedic parodies. Mel’s father's family were German Jews from Danzig and his mother's family were Jews from Kiev, in the Pale of Settlement of the Russian Empire. His father died of kidney disease at the age of 34 when Brooks was only 2 years old. He graduated from Eastern District High School.
